Active hood delete cover produced by Carbonic Japan for the 2016+ ND Mazda MX-5 Miata. The Carbonic Active Hood Cover is a pair of covers designed to remove the troublesome active hood actuators on the ND Miata that tend to fail causing an expensive repair. Carbonic's solution is the Active Hood Covers, which are twill carbon fiber brackets that cover the hole left by removing the actuators. The design incorporates an attachment point for the harness and cable ties are supplied. Carbonic also provides replacement black finish bolts for a quick installation. The hood is equipped with a rain guard as well that will block water from entering the engine bay so you don’t have to worry about driving your Miata during a rain storm. Please note that it is recommended to remove the 2 airbag units in the engine bay when running this hood during racing to ensure it will not be destroyed in case of a front impact.
